About Us

While we gather each Sunday at 9:30 each week, there is plenty more that makes us, us at North Ryde.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional Custodians of the land on which we are situated, the Wallumattagal of the Eora Nation. We pay respect to their Elders, and Leaders past, present and emerging. May their stewardship continue to teach and guide us in how to care for this land and each other.

We have ongoing relationships with the North Ryde Community Aid and with Pacific Island peoples and the wider work of the Uniting Church through such activities as Christmas Bowl, Lent Event and Outreach Month.

Pastoral Care is an integral part of the life of the congregation. Formally it is arranged in clusters with each member of the cluster caring for the others.

The beliefs expressed through the Uniting Church are drawn for the Bible and from the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds. The church affirms the place of ongoing theological, literary, historical and scientific study and also understands that God loves all people equally and works in and through all God’s people. The Uniting Church stands alongside those in need.

The Uniting Church constantly seeks to affirm its biblical and theological understanding that “Christians in Australia are called to bear witness to a unity of faith and life in Christ which transcends cultural and economic, national and racial boundaries” (Basis of Union, paragraph 2).

At NRCC, we attempt to live out our baptism and faith through our Vision and Mission Statements:

  • Vision Statement: “Our vision is to be a compassionate, revitalising Christian Community.”
  • Mission Statement: “As part of the body of Christ, the North Ryde Community Church, Uniting Church in Australia, gathers to celebrate God’s love, mercy, justice and peace, to search and to be challenged, to nurture and be nurtured, to care for God’s creation, to welcome all people, and to engage all ages in ministry. We seek to experience and express Christian Community.”

North Ryde Community Church is a congregation of the Uniting Church in Australia, in the Sydney Central Coast Presbytery. To find out more about who we are, or if you would like to talk with our Minister, please don’t hesitate to email admin@nrcc.unitingchurch.org.au or call 02 9888 9978.

You are welcome to join us for our services and any of our community activities.
